Lea Michele to Guest Star on 'Sons of Anarchy'

Glee isn't the only show entering its final season to feature Lea Michele.

Michele has joined the cast of Sons of Anarchy in a guest-starring role, appearing in the final season's sixth episode, which is scheduled to air October 14th. Michele will play Gertie, “an empathetic truck-stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma (Katey Sagal) during a difficult time.” Could be an interesting one-off character. At the very least, she's apparently got other characteristics beyond "woman stuck with the name 'Gertie' post-1947."

Michele hit up Twitter to confirm the casting announcement, adding that Sons of Anarchy is actually her favorite show:

The actress also posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Sons of Anarchy writer/director/producer Paris Barclay:

So this is definitely happening. Can't wait to see how she fits into this universe. I mean, I know she's an actress and it's her job to blend into various roles, but for some reason, I just can't imagine her on Sons of Anarchy. But hey, congrats to her. Not everybody gets to be on his or her favorite show.
