'Law & Order: SVU' episode to be based on Trayvon Martin murder - Video
An upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU will be inspired by the recent, controversial Trayvon Martin murder case.
With SVU premiering its fifteenth season later this year, it seems right that they would have a big episode like this. Cybil Shepherd is set to play a George Zimmerman-like vigalante character who has apparently killed a black teen named Mehcad. Actor Jeffery Tambor is portraying her lawyer.
A demonstration scene for the episode was taped this week at 60 Centre St. Not many other details are available now. The episode is set to premiere in October.
