Laura Prepon Will Be In Every Episode of 'Orange Is The New Black' Next Season

After sitting out most of season two of Orange Is the New Black, it's now been confirmed that Laura Prepon will return as a full-time series regular in season three.

Prepon plays Alex, the former lover of series lead Piper (Taylor Schilling), and the person whose criminal activities land Piper in the slammer in the first place. (Well, depending on where you fall on the whole culpability scale. It's not as if Alex forced Piper to smuggle drugs for her, but there was a certain amount of emotional manipulation in play. But I digress...)

Apparently, Prepon's scarce appearances in Season 2 had nothing to do with creative differences or anything of the sort, but rather due to scheduling issues.

"It sucked because [show creator] Jenji Kohan and I wanted me to be in it more, but with the schedule, it didn’t happen,” said Prepon during an interview with Us Weekly the Critics’ Choice Awards. “I was so bummed out. But I handled it, so I’m in every [episode] in season three. It is so good."

As a fan who felt Prepon was sorely missed in season two, this is great news!
