'Late Late Show With James Corden' 2015 Premiere Date Announced
James Corden will take over for Craig Ferguson has host of CBS' The Late Late Show, and it's going to be happening sooner than you might think.
CBS has announced that The Late Late Show With James Corden will premiere on Monday, March 9, 2015 (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT). The series will tape from CBS Television City in Los Angeles, with UK producer, director and writer Ben Winston serving as executive producer. Winston, a friend of Corden's since age 17, is currently an executive producer on The X Factor UK. However, this won't be the first time Winston has worked with his friend, as they've collaborated on everything from the Brit Awards to Corden's "Smithy" sketches for BBC1’s Red Nose Day charity telethon. Hell, Corden even appeared in the music video for One Direction's "Best Song Ever," which Winston directed.
“We’re excited to begin CBS’s next chapter after midnight and introduce James’ wide range of performance talents and fearless creative instincts to American television viewers,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment. “He and Ben have been friends for a long time and partnered together on a variety of successful projects. They are a creatively dynamic and very energetic host/producer combination.”
It looks like Corden's Late Late Show is shaping up to be a fun, unique take on the traditional late night talk show, in much the same way Craig Ferguson's irreverent show livened up the 12:30 AM hour. I'm definitely interested in seeing what Corden does with his Late Late Show.
