Lady Gaga Teaming With The Muppets For Holiday Special

Lady Gaga is getting back together with the Muppets!

The singer is teaming with the Muppets for a holiday special on ABC. Specifics are being kept under wrap, but the special has apparently already been filmed, having been shot in Los Angeles.

Of course, this is hardly Gaga's first go-around with the Muppets, as she famously took Kermit the Frog as her date to the 2009 VMAs, and also commissioned Jim Henson's Creature Shop to create exclusive pieces for her The Monster Ball tour in 2010. In addition, the singer also shot a cameo for 2011's The Muppets, but the scene was cut due to length.

This is the second holiday special Lady Gaga has fronted. In 2011, she hosted and directed A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, a special which included guest appearances from Katie Couric, Tony Bennett, and chef Art Smith, and featured the singer performing a collection of her own hits, standards, and holiday songs, such as "White Christmas".

No word yet on a specific premiere date for the special, but Lady Gaga already has big things on the horizon: in addition to an upcoming hosting stint on SNL, the singer is anticipating the release of her latest album, ARTPOP, which drops on November 8, 2013.
