Set your calendars, because in early 2015 Lady Gaga will be launched to the stars on a Virgin Galactic ship to become the first person artist to sing in space.

That actual first astronaut who sang in space, totally unimportant.

Gaga is all set to perform at the Zero G Colony tech festival in New Mexico, with a source explaining that, "She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere."

The three-day event takes place in Spaceport America with Gaga performing on dawn of the third day, approximately six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight.

You know, assuming nothing goes wrong with all those other trips into the cold reaches of space.

One source says the event will be "like nothing the world has seen before," with another adding, "Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy!"
