Lady Gaga Has a Flying Dress Now

Since Lady Gaga has already pushed most of the boundaries of fashion, the next logical step is a dress that can fly. Obviously.

The flying dress -- which Gaga dubbed Volantis -- made its first flight on Sunday (Nov. 10) at Mother Monster's launch party for her album ARTPOP. The dress took off in the Brooklyn Navy Yard lifting 70 inches off the ground.

Gaga later referred to the flight as, "maybe a small step for Volantis" but "a big-time step" for Gaga. A possible not so subtle reference to her 2015 performance in space.

"Although she [Volantis] is a vehicle, she is essentially a metaphor for me. I will be a vehicle today for their voices."

You can check out a video of Volantis' first test flight over on Instagram.
