Comedy Central is remaining in the Nick Kroll business.
The network has renewed Kroll Show for a third season. The renewal of the sketch comedy series, which lampoons reality TV and other subjects, was confirmed by creator/star Nick Kroll during his appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
“Nick has gone so deep into his characters we’re worried about his mental health if we didn’t pick up a third season,” said Comedy Central President of Original Programming Kent Alterman.
The second season, currently airing at 10:30 PM Tuesdays, is bringing in an audience of 1.1 million total viewers each week, which is more than solid enough for the network.
I'm not really a fan of the show myself, but I do like Kroll himself. He's been at this comedy thing long enough that I can't help but feel happy for him that it's all paying off. After all, we Nicks have to stick together.
