Kristian Bush (Sugarland) Plans New Solo Album

Kristian Bush of the award-winning country duo Sugarland is currently working on a solo album through Streamsound Records, which is co-owned by Kristian's longtime producer Byron Gallimore.

Byron will again be working on this record, picking up where he left off on Enjoy The Ride, Love On The Inside, Gold and Green and The Incredible Machine. "I'm so excited to be working with Byron Gallimore again," Kristian said. "I'm constantly surprised at how creative I feel and how innovative he is every time we hit record."

With a single from the project expected in the summer, Kristian recently explained on his website that he has whittled an astonishing 300 songs down to 15, and is currently working on narrowing that down to 12, putting the finishing touches on the overall record. "The songs need mixing and mastering," he said. "There are new sounds to be added and maybe new vocals to be sung. And then there is everything that goes along with an album release. I need to choose a title and a single and take new photos and design the album art and figure out the sequencing and introduce the music to my friends at radio and play more live shows." Phew! I'm exhausted just typing that out.

Meanwhile, the other half of Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles, recently returned from having her baby Magnus (who was born December 2012) to release her solo album That Girl in January 2014. It reached #1 on the country charts.
