Kris Jenner Files For Divorce From Bruce Jenner
It's all over for the Jenners: Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from former Olympian Bruce Jenner, her husband of 23 years.
Court documents were filed on Monday in a Los Angeles Superior Court in which Kris Jenner cites irreconcilable differences as cause for the separation. The couple will share joint custody of their youngest child, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.
Of course, this was a long time in coming, as it was only a matter of time until the divorce was made official. The couple separated in October of last year, and although things have remained friendly between the two, it was clear there was no hope of a reunion.
“We are living separately and we are much happier this way,” Kris Jenner told E! News at the time. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Kris and Bruce Jenner have two kids together, 18-year-old Kendall and the aforementioned minor Kylie, although Bruce has welcomed the children of Kris's previous marriage -- Kourtney, Khloe, Kim and Rob Kardashian -- into his life, in much the same way Kris has welcomed the four children from Bruce's previous marriage into hers, as this becomes a warped kind of Brady Bunch situation.
Naturally, because nothing is entirely off-limits on reality TV, Kris and Bruce's separation was factored into the family's hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as Bruce moved out to live in Malibu while Jenner remained behind in Calabasas, California.
The marriage had no prenup, although Kris Jenner is reportedly looking to at least keep the jewelry, according to ABC News. That's...pretty reasonable, actually. Good on them for not being mired in resentment and ill-will. Lord knows, it'd be easy enough, being surrounded by Kardashians all day.
