Kris Allen wins American Idol 8

Kris Allen wins American Idol Season 8

Kris was the dark horse and beat a formidable singer in Adam Lambert. We called him "Tender Puppy" and "Sexy Face" -- and he serenaded us with Ain't No Sunshine, She Works Hard for the Money, Falling Slowly and Heartless.

Thank you everyone for "saving" Kris Allen week after week. When we wrote our mega analysis post before the Top 13, I didn't think Kris would even make Top 10. I said that I wanted Kris to make me fail -- and he did! We were in total jinx mode from the very beginning and I had Kris leaving or in the bottom 3 since Top 13. I'm shock that it worked! However, it looks like Arkansas did the heavy lifting in the end producing 38 million votes for Kris. Thank you Arkansas!

No Boundaries is available now for download on iTunes -- it's awesome!

Note: Also to those who think that Simon did not give Kris a standing ovation -- he did! He stood up when Kris' name was announced, then he sat down when Ryan started talking about Adam Lambert. He stood up again when Kris Allen went to the judges table during the final song.
