Kris Allen vs. Adam Lambert on Amazon.com
Since when was the Amazon.com charts a barometer for music sales success? Anyway, thanks to this article in the New York Post this morning (written by MJ from MJ's Big Blog) ... everyone in the media seems to think Amazon is where it's at for music. I blogged about this last Sunday, and it took MJ's article on the NY Post to start a media blitz.
It's safe to say that right now, the mainstream media is angling for a "he didn't win, but he's going to outsell the winner" story like Clay Aiken and Daughtry. Kris Allen released his single Live Like We're Dying last week but the story of Adam topping the Amazon.com chart just eclipsed it with a single article from the NY Post.
Kris AllenImage: 's CD is also available for pre-order on Amazon and David Archuleta's Christmas from the Heart CD is outselling it. Kris fans can always argue that Kris's album is also available for pre-order on iTunes, whereas Adam fans only have Amazon.com to turn to for their buying fix.
The Amazon.com bestseller list ranks:
