Kris Allen - Thanks for all the Love
Thanks to Jodi for capturing my experience with her on the CBS Early Show on video.
A few things happened today, but in a rush now to go to a David Archuleta concert, so I will have delayed posts of the Today Show, Live with Regis and Kelly and Morning Show with Mike and Juliet. Unfortunately, I don't see any recording of the Early Show on my DVRs so that was a fail. Anyone have that one?
A quick note to Danny Gokey fans: Gokey really wanted to see me! I met him at the entrance of Live with Regis and Kelly with the ultra-rare Gokey paddle but he wanted to "look better" for a picture since his hair products and luggage got lost. I love it that he is vain! He asked for my name and I said Rickey from Rickey.org. He said that he would come back in 45 minutes after he got his hair done (which had bangs now, LOL). Unfortunately at 8:45 he still did not show up, and I had to go the the Early Show for Kris Allen. Later, Bill who was with me said that Danny came out after the show and immediately headed for them, and then frantically looked for me: "Where is he?" Omigosh! I need to see Danny Gokey! Will try something tomorrow. I've already Twittered him. I hope he responds. I need to give him a hug like I promised the fans.
So on to the Early Show... and Bromance! Hahaha.
A long 30 minute wait as some obnoxious fans came crashing the Kris Allen feel good party -- I really wanted the whole thing to end quickly. However, Kris Allen arrives, and as soon as he sees me with the Sexy Face paddle he says: "You're everywhere man!" which confused the hell out of the women around Jodi and I. I asked Jodi: OMG, that was me right?
Anyway, he did his thing, and signed some stuff and took pictures with the audience. Unfortunately, I was like 2 people deep and could not get a decent picture or anything. I decided to pass the paddle forward for him to sign. I said: "Kris can you sign this?" The man in front of me helped pass it to him. I said: "From Rickey" so he knew. Then Kris said: "How you doin' Rickey? (Sign) Thanks for all the love man." Gasp.
This whole Bromance thing was a bit too much for me that I ended up going to my therapist after. In the chaos of fans all around him, Kris Allen singled me out in the crowd like he knew me. I am speechless. Thanks Kris! It was lots of fun rooting for you during the show.
