Kris Allen - Q&A at Star Lounge - Video
American Idol winner Kris Allen was at Star 94.1 FM Lounge in San Diego on Tuesday to promote his new album Thank You Camellia which comes out on May 22.
He answered a few questions from the fans and also performed songs from the album.
From 94.1:
On getting shut down by the police at Santa Monica Pier...
"I laughed at it. I thought it was the best ending to the night. I had been playing for an hour--it was the last song of the night. The cop came over and was really rude for absolutely no reason. I tried to be nice to him, but he wasn't having it. It was the best way to end the night... with a chance to go to jail."
On the nickname his wife gave him...
"She calls me a couple different things. I hear 'sweetie' a lot. We have pet names for each other, but I can't say them. It's really bad... really stupid, gushy-gushy."
On why he swapped his wedding band for a tattoo...
"[The wedding band] broke. I was washing my face one day and it was scratching my face. It was deteriorating. That's what you get for buying your wedding ring online for 40 bucks. So I got rid of it. It's cheaper to get a tattoo."
