Some thoughts: I think this is how Kelly Clarkson started: slow. Maybe in a couple of years Kris will become a superstar like her. Or he just might end up on Broadway, who knows. The trend is certainly there: Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Taylor Hicks and Jordin Sparks all ended up on Broadway a couple of years after their American Idol highs. My feeling is if the second David Cook album isn't stellar, 19 may have serious second thoughts about a Kris Allen and Adam Lambert second album -- and either Kris, Adam, David or all of them will end up on Broadway headlining some show. David Cook however is quite popular, so his second album will definitely sell better than Jordin's second effort even without a hit song. This will help both Adam and Kris in 2011/12. But by that time, we will have the American Idol 10 vs. X Factor thing going on and they might get lost in the shuffle.
At least Kris Allen has a career.
