Kitten and the Hip sing 'Shut Up and Dance' on The X Factor UK 2014

Kitten and the Hip sang 'Shut Up and Dance' on The X Factor UK 2014 Room Auditions.

This was a supremely obnoxious audition. It was the song choice, but also their look, and just the overall quirkiness that suggests they're trying too damn hard. But the girl at least has talent. So I understand why the judges made the decision they did. In fact, about halfway through the performance, I started to get the feeling they might offer Kitten the spot over her husband. These always make for awkward situations, like with MK1 two years ago. Or Tamera Foster last year. It's never pretty to watch a group get broken up, but it's usually a reality check the group badly needs. And at least Kitten seems to understand that, here.

But what do you think of Kitten and the Hip?
