Kimberley Locke - Based on a True Story

Kimberley Locke
Kimberley Locke from American Idol Season 2 has a new CD out today.

During my naive and unwise days (has it really changed? LOL), when I rooted for Kimberly Caldwell (now a TV Guide American Idol "expert" who is still working on her first CD) and Corey Clarke (who was literally just a dick, hahaha), I thought that Kimberley would win -- only to be proven dead wrong by the phenom that was Clay Aiken. (What?! He didn't win? LOL)

Kimberley had a #1 single in 2004 called 8th World Wonder --

Seven days and seven nights of thunder,
The waters rising and I'm slipping under.
I think I fell in love with the 8th world wonder.

I just love the cheesy lyrics! I loved that song!

She also co-owns a restaurant called Croton Creek in NY State; blogs about losing weight with Jenny Craig; and can currently be seen on Celebrity Fit Club on VH1.

My favorite moments of Kimberley on Idol were her Hollywood duet with Frenchie Davis ("Band of Gold") -- arguably the best Hollywood performance ever, and her Top 12 performance of "Heat Wave" complete with poodle curly hair and the first appearance of the infamous "fire" background still used on Idol today (she landed in the Bottom 3 the next night -- which traumatized me to that fire background for the rest of my life). Good times, good times.
