Kim Kardashian's Engagement Ring Sells at Auction

Someone really wanted to get their hands on the engagement ring Kris Humphries gave to Kim Kardashian because it sold for a horrible to conceive $620,000 at auction today (Oct. 15).

The bling was sold at Christie's auction in New York City and went in with a starting big of $200,000 according to Us Weekly.

Said ring features a 16.21-carat center diamond and two 1.8-carat side diamond and was snapped up by an as yet unknown online bidder who we really hope just has more money than they know what to do with rather than a Kardashian fan who is now destitute.

Still, we guess it's technically a steal considering the engagement ring that launched a 72-day wedding was reportedly worth $2 million at the time of purchase.

On the plus side, Humphries (who most likely is the ring's seller) noted in the auction catalog that a portion of the proceeds from the sale would go to charity.

Hopefully said charity isn't his shattered dignity.
