'Key & Peele' Star Headed to 'The Middle'

One half of Comedy Central's sketch comedy duo Key & Peele is headed to ABC.

Keegan-Michael Key is scheduled to guest star on an upcoming episode of The Middle, the irreverent comedy about the quirky Heck family. In the episode, Key will play Reverend Deveaux, "a charismatic preacher visiting the Hecks’ church through a minister exchange program." Deveaux is presented, in the episode, as a former "spiritual adviser" to the Cleveland Browns, which qualifies him to work with the Heck family since he “knows a group in crisis when he sees one.”

This is pretty great news for The Middle. Keegan-Michael Key is funny as hell (with and without Jordan Peele). No word yet on when Key's episode will air, but let's go out on a limb and say it'll be this season. You know, a bold prediction.
