Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick will be acting as Miss Golden Globe in January at the 2014 award show.

Traditionally, the honor is given to the son or daughter of a celebrity who is then tasked with handing out trophies.

You may remember that last year, Michael J. Fox's son was Mr. Golden Globe, prompting host Tina Fey to warn Taylor Swift away from the 24-year-old. That was a bit of a mess. A hilarious one.

HFPA President Theo Kingma announced the news of Sosie's job at a party co-hosted by InStyle, joking, "As we all know, she comes from a very talented family and this gets us one degree closer to Kevin Bacon."

Sosie will join past Miss Golden Globes including: "Melanie Griffith, her daughter Dakota Johnson, Laura Dern, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rumer Willis."

The Golden Globes will air on January 12 and yet again the fabulous duo of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be taking over hosting duties.
