Kerry Washington previews 'Scandal' midseason finale

Unfortunately for the show's legions of loyal Gladiators, Scandal will be off our screens for a few weeks after tonight's winter finale. In a THR interview, Kerry Washington gives us some spoilers.

Since SO much went on in last week's episode this winter finale is going to huge. So many things happened. Here are just a few notable points that we've pulled.

Who will Sally call to fix her mess? Kerry says, "You get to see a bit of her strategic mastermind in who she calls -- it's the person who she thinks can help her the most in relation to what she wants for the future."

Olivia learns her mother was a terrorist. How is this affecting things between she and her father? "It brings her even closer to her father. That is a twist that I certainly did not expect. There's been so much hurt. What you realize in this triangulation of hurt between mother-father-child, is that there's a lot of emotional scar tissue between them all."

Quinn & Huck and Olivia's reaction to what he does? "The reaction Olivia has to what he does is a very big one and it's a game changer."
