Kenan Thompson May or May Not Be Leaving 'SNL'

The bad news: Kenan Thompson may be leaving SNL. The good news: he really might not be leaving after all.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that cast member Kenan Thompson would be leaving the long-running sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live after this season.

Specifically to move to Los Angeles and appear in a new show.

However, according to a spokesperson for NBC, this news is completely untrue, going so far as to call the reporting by TMZ "incredibly inaccurate."

Added the talking head, "The season hasn’t even started and cast decisions aren’t made until the end of the season."

TMZ countered this statement in their original article, saying that the decision for Thompson to depart is not the show's, but the actor's, and his mind is already made up.
