Kelly Clarkson is ready to walk down the aisle!
The singer and fiancé Brandon Blackstock obtained a marriage license on Tuesday, appearing in person, and signing their full names to the document: Kelly Brielle Clarkson and Narvel Brandon Blackstock.
The document is good for 30 days from the date of issue, so it looks as if we're in the home-stretch towards the wedding ceremony.
"OK, this is why it's confusing," Clarkson recently told E! News, explaining why some have long suspected she and Blackstock were already wed. "I'm not married yet, because we had a wedding planned, like a huge one—and we still have a wedding planned, but we're not doing the big huge one."
While Clarkson confirmed some details of her wedding, such as her choice of a Temperley dress for the big day, the former American Idol winner is already looking ahead to life after the ceremony.
"I want babies, like, right off the bat!" Clarkson said on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show earlier this month. "Well, I'm totally gonna have a girl. My first child will be a girl—I know it in my soul."
Maybe she'll be a singer too? Hey, maybe she can win season 47 of whatever singing shows still exist in sixteen years...you know, assuming any still exist.
Congrats to the future newlyweds!
