Kelly Clarkson To Cameo On Tonight's Episode of 'Nashville'

ABC's Nashville racks up another celebrity cameo tonight with Kelly Clarkson appearing as herself.

Previously Brad Paisley has appeared on the season 1 finale (and he will do so again on January 29), with artists such as Pam Tillis and Vince Gill also performing more minor roles. Carrie Underwood even lent her voice to a staged version of the CMAs last May.

During tonight's episode, the season 2 winter premiere, Kelly will be interested in a song penned by the characters of Gunnar and Scarlett. The cast could only sing Kelly's praises in a recent interview, with Charles Esten (who plays Deacon), enthusing "It’s kind of unbelievable, No. 1, the amount of talent she has, but, No. 2, is just how cool she is,” he said. “She’s just the best. She’s sweet, she’s funny, and we’re real lucky to have her.”

Hayden Panettiere, who plays Juliette, was disappointed that Kelly didn't appear in a scene with her. "“She’s really lively and fun and doesn’t stop smiling, that girl,” Hayden told ABC News Radio. “I’m really bummed that I didn’t get to do the scene with her. I was like, ‘What? No! Pick me! Ooh, pick me! I want to act with her!’ But, I can’t wait to see it.”

Can't wait to check out Kelly's acting chops!
