I was a skeptic, but did she sure shut me up! Katy Perry's "Roar" is set to exceed expectations with over 525k downloads, compared to the 200-250k for Lady Gaga's "Applause."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Roar" could "debut with 525,000 to 550,000 downloads sold by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Aug. 18." Six days ago it was expected to push 400,000.
It would give Perry the biggest sales week for a song this year and her best since "Firework" moved 509,000 downloads post-Christmas 2010.
Lady Gaga's "Applause" is remaining with its first prediction, set to sell 200,000-250,000 downloads. At first, there were early indications that both "Roar" and "Applause" could sell over 400,000 downloads.
So basically Katy shut Stefani all the way down. LOL. Okay then.
