Katy Perry To Close 2013 Video Music Awards

Lady Gaga may be opening the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards but it was just announced that Katy Perry will be closing the show.

Which is the better slot? I would have to say opening the show is better. Usually, I'm so annoyed by how awful and boring this show has gotten over the years that I tune out before the ceremony reaches the end. Here's hoping the 2013 VMAs will be better now that the event is returning to New York.

The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards will air Sunday, August 25th from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
