Katy Perry to perform at Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show

Katy Perry will perform at this season's Super Bowl halftime show according to a report from Billboard.

The NFL had declined to comment on the story.

The other acts in the shortlist of contenders to perform in this year's championship game were Coldplay and Rihanna, the Wall Street Journal reported in August.

The game will be played on February 1, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona.

The last Super Bowl had 111.5 million viewers and Bruno Mars was the halftime performer.
