Katharine McPhee - Katharine McPhee CD

Have you listened to the stream at AOL.com? Okay, this CD is decent -- Katharine McPhee fans might like it. I can't decide: it's either I kinda like it or I'm just too sleepy to process this properly. Although 'Open Toes' (and 'Dangerous' -- hahaha) have grown on me for sheer novelty. At least the CD has a consistent sound even if its quite under-produced. When Fantasia's debut CD came out, they tried to satisfy everyone by mixing in 'Summertime' and 'Baby Mama' with some R&B tracks. I think Idol learned their lesson and made sure not to include 'Over the Rainbow' even if Kat was known for that type of music. Unfortunately, I didn't hear an 'It's Not Over'-type single here to boost sales.

The media blitz however continues. Kat just appeared on Jay Leno last night (sorry, missed it) and will guest on Ugly Betty this Thursday. Viva McTatas!
