'Dynasty' Actress Kate O'Mara Dead at 74

Kate O'Mara, best known for playing Joan Collins' sister Cassandra "Caress" Morell on the soap opera Dynasty, has passed away. She was 74-years-old.

The actress died today (March 30) after a brief illness.

The news was confirmed by Kate's agent, who reported that the actress passed away in a Sussex, England nursing home but did not say what illness she died from.

She made her debut on Dynasty in 1986, appearing on the soap for a total of two seasons.

O'mara was also in the original run of Doctor Who as the Rani and appeared on the British comedy Absolutely Fabulous.
