Kanye West Claims Tabloids Scared of His Interracial Relationship - VIDEO

As is his wont, Kanye West took 20-minutes out of his concert on Saturday (Feb. 15) to rant about a number of things, including how tabloids are "afraid of interracial relationships."

West was playing at the Prudential Center in New Jersey when he stopped his set to request respect as the "genuine creator in 2014."

"Every media outlet, I don’t care who you are — TMZ, E!, Barbara Walters — don’t play yourself. Respect it as such," Kanye yelled to the crowd. "SNL, all you writers, Lorne Michaels. Respect it as such."

He would go on to exclaim, "Cause when we standing face to face, you know who you’re looking at."

"This ain’t no motherf--king spoof, so play this sh-- back at your motherf--king meetings when you’re writing your jokes. Play this sh-- back when you’re writing your headlines for your tabloids. Write that mothef--king headline when you try to make me look like a maniac or an animal, because you afraid of interracial relationships, because you afraid of the future, because you afraid of a rapper that was raised by two educated parents."

Yup. Surely that must be it. Nailed it.

The rapper would go on to add, "Don’t think that I’m upset, because I’m actually very, very happy."

You can listen to the entire exchange above, in which he also rants in auto-tune about the Grammys (calling his pitiful nominations "disrespectful" and "like leaving a $2 tip"), and compares himself to Miles Davis and Prince.
