Kanye West - Speaks to Harvard Design Students - Video

Kanye West was invited to speak at the Harvard Graduate School of Design as part of their "DONDA Design Lecture" series and boy did he.

West was brought in by creative director Virgil Abloh, who had the rapper in on Sunday (Nov. 17) to talk about design. And by design we assume he means his creation of leather jogging shorts.

"Just wanted to tell you guys: I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be 'architected.'" West told the assembled students.

"And this is the reason why even some of the first DONDA employees were architects that started designing T-shirts instead of buildings. But just to see the work actually come, to be actualized."

After name-dropping Oprah he continued, "I believe that utopia is like actually possible, but we're led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political. So in no way am I a politician, I’m usually at my best politically incorrect. And very direct. I really appreciate you guys' willingness to learn and hone your craft, and not be lazy about creation."

You can check out West's entire mini-lecture below, in which he gives everyone there free tickets to his show.

More importantly though, is this gonna be on the final exam?
