The cast for ABC's newest drama has gained an Oscar nominee.

Juliette Lewis, nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1991's Cape Fear, will star opposite fellow big screen star Ryan Phillippe in ABC's new murder mystery, Secrets & Lies.

The show centers on "a family man (Phillippe) who finds the body of a young boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect. He has no choice but to try to find the real killer as his marriage, his kids, his reputation and his sanity are all at stake."

Lewis will play Detective Cornell, one of the investigators working the case.

The series, which has already received a 10-episode order from ABC, will be written by Barbie Kligman (Private Practice), who will also serve as an executive producer. Desperate Housewives helmer Charles McDougall will direct.

The show joins a recent glut of small town murder mysteries on TV in recent years. With any luck, this particular mystery will be able to stand proudly alongside shows like Broadchurch and Top of the Lake.
