Julia Goodwin sang 'Iris' on America's Got Talent 9 Quarter Finals #1 on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

The performance was held live at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The judges were unsure about Julia's performance but still praised her.

"This stage, this city shines a light on where someone will end up," said judge Howie Mandel. "I think you are in the right city, wrong building (Broadway)."

"You look stunning," said judge Mel B. "I don't think you gave everything and more."

"I think you are giving us a glimpse of what is to come," said Heidi Klum.

"You have a lot of poise for a 15-year-old," said Howard Stern. "I think because of your youth you voice sometimes doesn't hold up. I don't think this was your best performance."

The results of the Quarter Finals #1 will be revealed on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
