Journey Guitarist Settles 50 Million Lawsuit with Girlfriend's Ex

Journey Guitarist Neal Schon had an affair with the wife of reality tv "star" Tareq Salahi last September.  Salahi, who is best known for crashing a 2009 state dinner at the White House as part of a stunt filmed for The Real Housewives of D.C., decided to sue Schon for 50 million dollars, based on the claim that Schon not only tore his marriage apart, but cost him a chance to appear on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars.

So, we have an F list celebrity/fame whore, filing a lawsuit not against his fame whore wife, but against the dude she cheated with, based on his supposed lost chance of appearing on the Australian version of a lame reality show? Sounds like a good use of the justice system to me.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not pro cheating or anything, but it's ridiculous that this obviously frivilous lawsuit, that got thrown out by a judge twice, was allowed to be pursued to the point that the washed up rocker decided to pay off the fame whore to just make it go away.

I guess Kristen Stewart better hope this doesn't give Mrs. Sanders any ideas....

From WENN:

JOURNEY guitarist NEAL SCHON has ended a $50 million lawsuit after reaching a settlement with his girlfriend's estranged husband.  Tareq Salahi's wife Michaele left the businessman and reality TV star for the rocker last September (11) and he later filed for divorce after learning she had been living a "double life" for several years.  He launched a legal battle with the musician, claiming Schon tore his marriage apart and ruined an opportunity for the former couple to appear on Australia's Dancing With the Stars.  However, the legal battle has now come to an end after Schon struck a settlement deal, according to TMZ.com (http://TMZ.com).  A representative for Journey tells the U.S. website, "Neal Schon and Journey are very pleased with the resolution of all legal issues and claims involving Mr. Salahi.  "While a judge previously dismissed Mr. Salahi's claims on two separate occasions, all matters have now been finally resolved."  The terms of the settlement are confidential.
