Joshua Scott Jones - Honk (If You're Tonky) - Official Video

Joshua Scott Jones has put his Steel Magnolia history behind him and is kick-starting his solo career, with the lead single 'Honk (If You're Tonky)'. He released the song's official video yesterday, and he claims it was inspired by Beyonce's video for 'Single Ladies'.

"I had the idea for the video from Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'," Joshua says. "I wanted to make a dance video, but a honky tonk style video, so we shot half of it in black and white, and the other half in color. It was me, and two dancers. One was my girlfriend. They choreographed it. They brought the vision to life. It's edgy, cool, and upbeat. I think it's something people won't want to take their eyes off of." It's sure striking!

He also notes of his new venture, "This has been a long time coming for me. I feel like it's really a chance for my voice to be heard. It's really a personal record that reflects on my head space over the past few years and what I've been through. I'm excited about it because I think it will translate well to all the fans we had as a duo in Steel Magnolia. I tried to take them with me for the ride, and gain a few more." He added, "It means a lot to me."

Joshua's debut solo album The Healing will hit stores later this year.
