Josh Kaufman - The Voice 2014 - It Will Rain - Video

Josh Kaufman sang "It Will Rain" on The Voice 2014 Season 6 Playoffs for Team Usher

Preparation

Josh talks about the feeling of achieving a four-chair turn, and how it’s something everybody works for, but not everybody gets. Adam says he adores Josh, and notes that picking between he and Delvin Choice was the hardest decision he had to make in the competition. However, he’s happy Usher stole him, since Josh deserves a spot.

Josh is singing “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars, and recalls his church upbringing, which is what he credits for the soul in his voice. Just from what little get in rehearsal, I think this is going to be great. Josh just sounds terrific, and even Usher seems subtly impressed with what he’s hearing (then again, that could just be what Usher looks like. I’m terrible at reading people).

Coach Comments

Adam Levine: Adam is relieved Josh is still in this competition, because he deserves to be here.
Shakira: Shakira, meanwhile, says she’s one of Josh’s biggest fans, and can tell how effortless it was for him to hit all the high notes.
Usher: Usher thinks Josh did an incredible job, and admits he can’t take credit for it, saying it was a collaboration between himself, Josh, and Adam, who helped make the moment happen (he even thanks Adam for bringing Josh to this point). Usher says Josh has proven to be an incredible steal.
Blake Shelton: Blake says Josh is one of Miranda Lambert’s favorites, and says he’s one of the best singers on The Voice this year. He’s so good, Blake wishes there were still steals.
