Dinosaurs! EVERYWHERE! At least, this could be Josh Brolin's future, if reports pan out.

Brolin is in the running to land the lead role in Jurassic World, the hotly-anticipated revival of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Though no offer has been made just yet, and despite no formal negotiations having taken place so far, Brolin is still reportedly the actor at the top of the consideration talks. If the Oscar nominee is secured for the film, he will join a cast that already includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins.

Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) will direct with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley (The Bourne Legacy) producing. In addition, Steven Spielberg, who helmed the original 1993 dinosaur blockbuster and is intimately involved with the casting process for this latest sequel, will executive produce. The story for the film comes from Trevorrow, who co-wrote the screenplay with fellow Safety Not Guaranteed writer Derek Connolly.

The movie is expected to film in Hawaii in early 2014 in anticipation of its June 12, 2015, release date.

I can't wait!
