Warner Bros. Pitched 'Sandman' With Joseph Gordon-Levitt

We've been waiting years and heard many rumors about a Sandman adaptation, and now one has been pitched starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The writer of Batman Vs. Superman, David S. Goyer came up with the idea and brought it to Warner Bros., which would put JGL in the role of Morpheus in Neil Gaiman's successful comic book series.

The books which originated in 1989 follow Morpheus (AKA Dream) the ruler of dreams and one of the Endless, a group of otherworldly siblings comprised of Death, Destiny, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium.

According to Badass Digest, the WB has been "very receptive" to the pitch, especially because pretty boy Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be involved.

Of course things are merely in the initial stages and nothing could come of it. But Goyer has a lot of clout and Gaiman thinks the world is ready for an adaptation so honestly? Who knows.
