Joseph Gordon-Levitt Interactive Television Series to Debut in August

Participant Media has been hard at work developing a new television network set to launch this August. Appropriately dubbed Pivot, the new network will target young people looking to make big changes in the world. You may recall Participant Media as the production company behind An Inconvenient Truth, if you're looking to further ponder what kind of network this well come to be.

At the forefront of exciting fresh progressive programming comes a new interactive talk show from Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Hit Record on TV!  will surround different subject matter each week, allowing audience members at home to participate in the conversation from the comfort of their living rooms. Some may be familiar with hitRecord.com, Gordon-Levitt's online collaborative production community that allows users to contribute art of all varieties to share and work with one another. For example, one user might post a poem that correlates to another user's sketch or photo. They profit together. I'd imagine his television project would work in the same vein.

The series is set to debut with seven half-hour long episodes. Senator John McCain's daughter Meghan is also set to debut a traveling docu-series on Pivot, making current news accessible to the social media driven youths of America. Both of these shows sound great to me.

Will you be tuning into Gordon-Levitt's show? Do you like the sound of a progressive television network for young people?
