Jordyn Wieber is Out of All-Around Competition - London 2012 Olympics

Jordyn Wieber, the defending world champion, is out of the all-around Olympic competition.

Her USA teammates Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas both outscored her in the qualifiers today -- and because of the "two-per country rule," Jordyn will not advance to the All-Around final. What a shocker!

From NBC:

Defending World Champion Jordyn Wieber is out of the all-around Olympic competition.

Because of a two-per country rule, each team can only advance two athletes to the All-Around competition. Teammates Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas both outscored Wieber, thereby advancing to the All-Around final.

Just over two tenths of a point separated Wieber from Douglas, the second qualifier.

Wieber left the gymnastics floor in tears after missing the all-around. "I'll be alright," the American said as she was escorted away by a women's coach.
