Jordin Sparks Stuns in Red on New 'Sparkle' Movie Poster

Even though Whitney Houston passed away a little over two months ago, her last film, Sparkle, is still slated for an August release. On the brand new movie poster, American Idol's Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks dazzles in a lovely red dress.

She takes center stage in the film -- which is a remake of the 1976 production. Houston plays mother to three daughters -- one of them Sparks -- who are aspiring to fame as they form a girl group. Soon, they must face all that comes with the territory, including drug addiction.

Will this role be Sparks' breakout moment she's been waiting for?
