Sparks named 'People's Choice' by Us Weekly (AZ Central)

Jordin Sparks is crowned "The People's Choice" in the magazine's October 2007 spread, which credits the 17-year-old's "powerful pipes and girl-next-door good looks" as the top-rated American Idol show's "saving grace."

Industry insiders say the young singer is set for a meteoric rise on the same level as previous Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
