Jonathan Rhys Meyers hospitalized after 'suicide attempt'

Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been released from the hospital after alleged 'suicide attempt' Tuesday night.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been discharged from hospital after an alleged suicide attempt.

The 33-year-old Irish actor, who resides in London, was taken to hospital by ambulance on Tuesday night after reportedly downing pills.

According to British newspaper The Sun, paramedics answering an emergency call discovered The Tudors actor on the floor of his £3m home. They were reportedly forced to call police after he refused treatment for over 30 minutes.

"This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life," a source told the publication.
