John Travolta issues statement about Adele Dazeem

John Travolta has issued a statement for calling Idina Menzel "Adele Dazeem" at the Oscars on Sunday.

Wait, it's Tuesday. He only decided to say something now?

Anyway, he told E! News:

"I've been beating myself up all day, then I thought... What would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!' Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

Hahaha. Let it go! LOL Oh-kay. Whatev. A non-apology apology. Just say sorry you a$$.

The good thing about the delay though is that it gave the Internet just enough time to produce multiple Twitter accounts for Adele and the awesome John Travolta Name Generator. (Try it, you'll love it).

And just in case you missed it, here's the flub heard round the world:

Also: Idina Menzel supposedly hugged John Travolta after her performance.
