Joan Rivers stops breathing during surgery - Report

Joan Rivers stopped breathing during surgery on her throat TMZ reported this morning.

She was in a clinic for a throat procedure on her vocal chords.

She was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York City after the problems happened.

The 911 call had someone on the other line say: "We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest."

UPDATE: Joan is is critical condition. At one point "her heart stopped" according to TMZ, via the NYPD.

UPDATE: E! News reports that Joan is in stable condition now. Thank you baby Jesus!
