Joan Rivers Endoscopy Clinic gets Death Threats - Report
Joan Rivers fans are lashing out at Yorkville Endoscopy clinic in New York where the late comedienne and TV personality had an operation last week. TMZ on Friday reported that the threats included: "If Joan dies, so will you" and "I hope you people die, you killed an icon" citing sources close to the clinic.
The clinic has been shutting down early on certain days to send employees home because of the threats, TMZ said.
The clinic, which opened in February 2013, is already under investigation by the New York State Health department.
Joan Rivers died on Thursday September 4, 2014 after she stopped breathing during a throat operation a week before. She was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital, but never recovered.
Her funeral will take place this Sunday at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan according to ABC News.
Five months ago, Joan Rivers joked about death on her return to The Tonight Show. This is one of the many times she has joked about it, even including a chapter about what to do during her funeral in her 2012 book I Hate Everyone... Starting With Me.
