JLS to go urban with new album and single
X Factor UK alums JLS have been churning out disposable, generic, forgettable electropop hits for their past two albums. With their fourth album in four years, they are looking to change the tide and go urban. Accompanied by Lil Wayne "A Milli" and Brandy "Put It Down" producer Bangladesh on new single, and Darkchild and others on the album, this seems to be quite excellent news.
Read more about the new single:
Source: TGJProduced by Bangladesh (Beyonce’s ‘Diva’, Brandy’s ‘Put It Down’), the track – christened ‘Hottest Girl In The World’ – is described as “a sleek, modern club song and shows a maturity and progression, taking the group out of Pop territory. A seamless transition into grown-up R&B”.“Grown up R&B” seems to not only be the underpinning of the single, but the backdrop of the entire album. For, Urban hitmakers The Runners, Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, and Midi Mafia, all feature.
‘Hottest Girl In The World’ receives its radio premiere on September 6th and hits iTunes on October 21st. ‘Evolution’ arrives on November 5th.
I'm ready to check for JLS this era. Are you?
