JLS - The Hottest Girl in the World - MP3 Listen

X Factor UK alums JLS return to the music scene with their new Bangladesh-produced single "The Hottest Girl in the World", that marks a notable departure in their previous sound of music. How did it turn out?

Listen here and sound off:

Let me start with what is good about this song. It is different from their past two albums.

It may grow on me, but this song is not where its at. It sounds like a old Timberlake reject and something that would now on Justin Bieber's Believe. Instead of adding drums & hip-hop sensibilties, Bangladesh pulled a letter from Darkchild and used urban pop guitars in what may be one of his weakest produced tracks to date. Seriously, from the guy who gave us "Lemonade", "Cockiness", "Put it Down", "Did It On'Em", we got this?

This seems like something One Direction would do when they decide to get edgier, not the older JLS. The band also throws unnecessary falsetto all over the place and I am not understanding. They get a B for effort though. I'm just hoping their upcoming album Evolution will show more than this.

Good effort, just don't be afraid to go further urban next time.
