In addition to the note, the staff received 20 large pizzas in case they wanted to eat their feelings.
Walters goodbye special was filmed last Thursday (May 15) and including a 25 journalists saying their so longs and farewells to the television staple who retired from the television spotlight.
According to a source on hand, "There was a two-hour bonding session going on between the 25 journalists in a green room. A notebook was brought out and everyone wrote their e-mails down so they could get on a big e-mail chain together."
Okay, now we don't know which is more adorable, bonding or pizza.
