Writing 'Party in the USA' Paid Jessie J's Rent for 3 Whole Years

Sounds like writing "Party in the USA" was the best move Jessie J ever made. It was so lucrative in fact that the 2009 Miley Cyrus single paid her bills for three years.

It also gave the world the first hint that adult Miley Cyrus was going to be a handful.

"Actually it was way longer than that. That’s where I get most of my money. I write songs. I’m a singer. I love endorsements and stuff, but that’s all added on."

Not much has changed for Jessie J since the long-haired Miley days. She's still writing songs that get stuck in your head, like her most recent single "Bang Bang."
